Jetronic is a petrol injection system for petrol engines invented by Bosch. Starting in the 1960s, various Jetronic versions came on the market over the years. The K-Jetronic version was particularly widespread. This is a mechanically-hydraulically controlled, driveless single injection system, with which the fuel is injected into the intake-manifold (indirect injection). The level of the fuel metering depends only on the air intake – irrespective of the position of the inlet valves – and ensues continually.
