Bosch has been producing in-line fuel injection pumps since 1927. They ensure high cylinder power for 2- to 12-cylinder engines and are still used today for commercial, construction and agricultural machines as well as stationary engines.
Since the in-line fuel injection pump is usually lubricated via the engine lubricating system, it can also cope with inferior fuel qualities. Long-term reliability and durability, however, are only ensured by regular servicing and the correct installation of Bosch spare parts.
The cylinders are arranged in rows. Each cylinder is supplied with fuel by its own pump element via a pressure valve and high-pressure line. The engine drives the pump camshaft via gears or a chain. The pump runs half as fast as the engine – in synchronisation with the piston movements.
